Why The Reformation Is Important To You

October 31st, 2007 · No Comments

October 31st, is All Saints’ Eve or Reformation Day. This devotion from Pastor Phil Corr reminds us of the importance of this day as followers of Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for those who have gone efore us in the Christian faith. On this Reformation Sunday, we especially thank You for those who stood up for the truth of Your written Word—the Bible; for the reality of salvation by grace through faith alone; and for the priesthood of all believers. Help us to understand how important the Reformation is to our own lives. In the power of Your Holy Spirit, may we dig deep into Your Word; receive Your saving grace; and minister to our community. We ask these things through the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ through Whom comes ongoing reformation, renewal and revival, Amen.
